Six people were injured after CM Prithviraj Chavan's car rammed into a private Maruti car and a convoy jeep which was carrying two bodyguards, a doctor and Balasaheb Desai, assistant police inspector from Worli traffic division, on Saturday at around 8pm.

Sources say the incident took place on the Western Express Highway while the CM was on his way to Bhayander for a meeting.
The jeep's driver slammed his brakes to avoid a collision with the Maruti car that was ahead of them.
However, the CM's four-wheeler went on to hit both the jeep and the Maruti car.
The two occupants of the Maruti car sustained minor injuries and their vehicle was taken into police custody. Those in the jeep sustained injuries and are now undergoing treatment at a private hospital. A case has been registered at Dindoshi police station.
