The countdown has finally begun for the residents of Campa Cola. On Saturday, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), under Section 488 of Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, sent the final eviction notice to the Campa Cola residents, asking them to evacuate the building on June 17, 11.30 am.

The notice comes after the residents failed to handover their house keys to the officials after being served with earlier notices on June 2 and June 12.

To the residents' dismay, politicians and the ruling party at the BMC have turned a blind eye to the situation.
Mayor Sunil Prabhu said, "We do sympathise with the residents of Campa Cola but the law comes above all and the Supreme Court's decision is final and binding. Hence, we cannot do anything," he said.
