Amitabh Bachchan to debut as state's tiger ambassador tomorrow

On the occasion of Wildlife Week, Amitabh Bachchan will make his first public appearance as the Tiger Ambassador of Maharashtra at the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) on Tuesday


On the occasion of Wildlife Week, Amitabh Bachchan will make his first public appearance as the Tiger Ambassador of Maharashtra at the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) on Tuesday. Sudhir Mungantiwar, State minister for Finance, Planning and Forests, will also be present at the event.

Bachchan will also be inaugurating two new buses for the tiger and lion safari at SGNP. Sources from forest department told mid-day, that special arrangements have been made for the program and it is also said that Bachchan might stay for a night at SGNP in Guest House number 1.

On Wednesday morning, Bachchan might head to a nature trail in SGNP along with senior FD officials. During this trail, he would be given information about the rich biodiversity of SGNP and the importance of this forest, which is a one-of-its-kind urban forest, situated in the heart of the metropolis.
