Acquitted Beer Man alleges cops harassment

Ravindra Kantrolu, who was suspected of killing three people and leaving beer cans near their bodies in 2006-07, says the Azad Maidan Police is trying to extern him from Mumbai despite the fact that he has been acquitted all charges in August.

Said Kantrolu, "On November 12, two cops from the Azad Maidan police station handed me some papers, and asked me to sign them.

They said I had to present myself before the assistant commissioner of police.




I later learnt that a pav bhaji vendor and another shopkeeper have lodged complaint about me threatening them.

This is all baseless. I won't let the police make a scapegoat out of me."

Senior Inspector Bhaurao Bhawale of Azad Maidan said, 'I am not aware, if Kantrolu is going to be externed or not."
