A 44-year-old man died by drowning into a nullah in Vasai on Thursday.
The incident took place in Girij, Vasai West. The man had been identified as Brian Carvalho, a resident of Satodiwadi.
According to sources, at around 11 am Brian had ventured out of the house amid heavy rain to buy eatables but he accidentally fell down in a nullah nearby his house.
The family members rescued him and took him to Bangli Hospital.

After receiving the initial treatment, the doctors declared him dead at around 10 pm.
The Vasai police station had registered a case of Accidental Death Report (ADR) in this matter.
