A Special court has sentenced a 35-year-old to 20 years imprisonment for assaulting a four-year-old girl after matching his teeth with the several bite marks found on her body.
The incident took place in September 2014, when the girl stepped out for an errand. When she did not return home, her family filed a complaint at Meghwadi police station.
The next day the girl was spotted in Aarey Colony. She was alone, naked and unable to speak. The girl had bite marks all over her lips and chest.
The cops picked up Shriniwas Saryudu and sent him for forensic odontology, a test that matched his dental pattern with the bite marks. The accused was nailed only on the basis of these bite marks, as the girl was too scared to speak to the police or the judge.
