teenager died due to negligence on the part of hospital authorities.


Aarti, a resident of Siddharth Colony, was rushed to the hospital at 9 pm yesterday, as she was suffering from loose motions. She was given an injection, but her condition only worsened and she started vomiting blood.

"Since her health was deteriorating it was suggested that Aarti be taken to the Rajawadi Hospital. But on the way to the hospital she died," said Prakash Phaterpekar, local corporator.

However, doctors treating Aarti were not available for comment despite repeated attempts as most of the staff fled after the attack.

A senior doctor from Ma Hospital, on the condition of anonymity, said, "It's unfortunate that the girl died on her way to Rajawadi Hospital. Police are investigating the case and we are extending our full cooperation."u00a0u00a0

Babasaheb Bendre, API, Chembur police station, said, "The matter is still under investigation.
