The Reliance Energy quarters in Mira Road, where the boy fell down
Jaysurya, a resident of the Reliance Energy quarters near Shantinagar at Mira Road, was a first-year engineering student.
On Sunday at 3.00 pm, according to the police officials, after playing cricket with his friends in the colony, he climbed a tree to pluck mangoes. His friends from the colony said, "Jaysurya climbed the 20-foot-high tree and after reaching the top, he slipped and fell down to the ground."
Jaysurya's father Perumal, who works with Reliance Energy as a supervisor, rushed him to St Anne's Hospital, where the doctor declared him dead after check-up. Jaysurya's little brother Surya said, "My brother was very talented.
He dreamt of becoming an engineer. He liked mangoes a lot and would climb trees daily to pick them." Sub-inspector Chavan said, "The boy fell from the tree, so on a prior basis, we registered the ADR in the case."
