Anoop Patekar sustained head injuries after he was attacked with bamboo sticks and a sharp object when he was on his way to school in Thane on Tuesday morning
Three unidentified persons assaulted a 15-year old boy in Thane on Tuesday. According to police officials, the incident took place at 7 am, when the victim, Anoop Shyam Patekar, was going to school.

A police officer from Naupada police station said, "Anoop is a Std VIII student of New English High School at Ram Mandir Road. While going to school, he was intercepted by three unidentified people who attacked him
with bamboo sticks and some sharp object." The school-goer sustained injuries on his head and went to Thane Civil Hospital for treatment.
After which, he reached the Naupada police station to file his complaint. The police have registered a case against the unidentified attackers under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) of the Indian Penal Court, and the investigation is ongoing.
