On day 58 of MiD DAY's Meter Down campaign, by refusing to ply short distances, errant drivers made hapless passengers walk an extra mile to find autos that were ready to ferry them to their respective destinations

Anup Pandya said, "Everyday, I wait for over 30 minutes to get an auto."
Saroj Shetye said, "I asked the driver for a fare to Kalanagar, but he refused and sped away."
Auto drivers speak
Chotelal Yadav: "Henceforth, I'll never refuse a passenger. Please spare me this time."
Jay Bahadur Yadav: "My auto has been troubling me for the past 2 to 3 days and I was on my way to a garage. Hence I refused the passenger."
Santosh Karbal: "Trust me, the vehicle is almost out of gas, hence I said no the passenger."
