Arif Khan (19, name changed), an alleged victim of Abdul Rashid Sheikh (pictured), who has been charged with forcing himself sexually upon 20 minor boys in his Vakola neighbourhood, has accused the alleged molester of using threats to make him sign an affidavit absolving him of all blame.

The affidavit was submitted by Abdul's alleged victim in the sessions' court, which then declared that they had falsely charged Abdul at the instigation of his nephew Asif Sheikh.

MiD DAY broke the story of Abdul's alleged crimes on September 14. "On October 6, Mulla (Abdul) and his wife threatened to kill me.

His wife said she would make photos of me having sex with Mulla public, and added that she would charge me with an attempt to rape. I was so scar-ed that I signed," said Khan.

Abdul has been asked to present himself in court on Saturday. While the Vakola police asked the court for more time to investigate the case, Abdul applied for anticipatory bail.

Inspector Sanjay Patil of the Vakola police said, "Sheikh has not been arrested, as he is out on interim bail."

Advocate Anjali Iyer, who is representing the alleged victims, said, "We have filed a fresh affidavit that mentions that the accused threatened the victim and forcefully took his initials.

Hence, we filed another affidavit that communicates the same."

Abdul and his wife refused to comment on the allegations.
