Rohitas Yadav said he wanted to target his supervisor as well, as he always sided with the two victims H R Singh and Somdutt and never paid heed to his grievances
mid-day had reported on the firing, in which the 49-year-old had grabbed his SLR rifle and killed his two colleagues H R Singh and Somdutt while they were sleeping in their room in the wee hours of Tuesday. Yadav also rushed into the adjoining room and opened fire, in which two others C P Thapa and Bheemsingh were injured.
Virendra Singh, the third person in this room who was hiding behind the door, tried nabbing Yadav. The accused's rifle slipped from his hands in the scuffle and he fled the scene. He took an auto rickshaw and alighted at the Western Express Highway in Goregaon, where a Vanrai police beat marshal took him into custody after noticing that he was loitering suspiciously.

Yadav was eventually handed over to the Nirmal Nagar police, who booked him for murder, attempt to murder under the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of the Arms Act. Police said they would make Virendra Singh the prime witness in the case.
No regrets
Confessing to the police, Yadav expressed no remorse at his actions. "Maine jo kiya theek kiya," said the frustrated man, who alleges that he had been regularly harassed and made fun of, by the victims.
They allegedly also made false complaints against him to his supervisor, who would then reprimand him. However, when he complained against the duo, his superior took no action. "He took their sides, so I was going to kill him as well," Yadav told the police.
The Rajasthan resident had made a phone call to his supervisor one hour before his shooting spree, asking him to come to the guards' room. However, the man decided to go off to sleep instead, and was saved.
Police said Yadav is extremely calm and doesn't respond to their questions. He, however, has accepted killing the duo, as they bullied him regularly. He was produced in Bandra court and remanded to police custody.
The two injured are recuperating in naval hospital INHS Asvini. The post-mortem for the two perished guards was conducted at J J Hospital and their bodies handed over to their families.
