In November 17, 2018, Andheri resident Ashmita Jaggi was abused and theatened by allegedly two drunken men who harassed and threatened her and her friend over a parking spot. The incident occurred when Jaggi and her friends were heading to a restaurant located close to the Citi Mall on the Andheri Link road. She waited outside for a red Hyundai Eon to move so she could park, while some of her friends went in to get a table. Jaggi wrote in a Facebook post, 'We patiently waited. The airport police arrested a 38-year-old Juhu resident in November 2018 for allegedly duping many women to the tune of lakhs by posing as a businessman on matrimonial websites. Explaining the accused's modus operandi, an officer said that over the last one year, Mahesh Kulkarni had created profiles on various matrimonial sites as a paid member to target good-looking and well-off women -most of them being widowed, separated or single. The Mumbai Crime Branch in November 2018 saved tens of girls, who were set to be sent out of the country for prostitution. The officers recovered and seized 60 passports from the three arrested accused, the passports are of different women staying in remote and poor regions across India. An unknown person allegedly molested a Masters student of Mumbai University (MU) inside a toilet of the Ranade Bhawan building at the Kalina campus in August 2018. According to the complaint filed by her with the Women Development Cell of the varsity, when the man groped her from behind she tried to resist, but he pushed her and ran away. Divine retribution was finally served to one Asad Rizvi, 43, in the holy month of Ramzan for cheating several women under the garb of zakat donation. The engineer was arrested in May 2018. The banker said she suffered from polycystic ovary syndrome, and came across Dr. Guruswami on Facebook who was organising a medical camp at a five-star hotel. The banker said that the accused touched her stomach and then lifted her t-shirt and touched her inappropriately. He also touched her private parts. It was further revealed that during the medical camp, the doctor had molested many women. The doctor was arrested and sent to judicial custody

Mumbai crime branch who were on their way back from investigating a murder case, spotted two women shouting and chasing a man on Santacruz in January 2018. Upon enquiring with the women, they found out that the man had just molested one of them and was running off.
