IN PHOTOS: Salim Khan gets death threats, hours after actor Salman Khan's convoy was followed by youth

Renowned screenwriter Salim Khan, who is the father of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, received a chilling threat during his routine morning walk at Bandstand, Bandra West, Mumbai Police said

Salim Khan received death threat during morning walk, the police has stated.

The incident occurred at 8:45 am when Salim, 88, decided to take a brief rest on a bench near the Windermere building on the promenade

As Salim sat alone, a man approached him on a two-wheeler. A burqa-clad woman was seated pillion. The man on the two-wheeler issued a threat, and stated, “Shall I send Lawrence Bishnoi?” before speeding away

The incident was immediately reported to the cops, and a case was registered

The incident comes hours after a youth was arrested for following the convoy of Salim's actor son Salman. Meanwhile, Mumbai Police have questioned a bike owner over the Salman Khan house firing incident, which took place in April   

According to the FIR, a 21-year-old had followed Salman from Mehboob Studio to Galaxy Apartments, after which he was apprehended

Salman too had received a death threat last year via a letter, which was also discovered by his father  

Two shooters had been arrested in connection with the firing incident outside Salman Khan's residence in Mumbai in April. The accused had conducted a recce around the actor's house three times before the incident 

Two motorcycle-borne men fired five rounds outside Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Salman Khan's residence, in the early hours of April 14. Police, who claimed that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was behind the attack, have arrested six people in the case so far

 

A 32-year-old man has also been detained for making multiple hoax calls to various police stations in Mumbai, and telling them that a member from the gang of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi is arrived in the city
