Police in Kalyan town are investigating the murder case of a minor who was found dead recently. The Khadakpada police said that the minor's body was found in a derelict building in the town and that she had been missing since January 13.
The cops said that they found two mobile phones near the girl's dead body; one of the phones belonged to a boy who had allegedly ended his life. The cops suspect that the deceased boy killed the minor and later ended his life. The deceased boy was identified as Krishna Shirsat (22), the police said and added that he ended his life by jumping before a train between Kalyan and Shahad railway stations.
A police official from the Khadakpada station said, "Mahatma Phule Police station was notified of the bad odour emanating from an abandoned building in the Syndicate area of Kalyan. Upon searching the premises, they saw the minor's dead body in a corner of the building. They suspected the girl was murdered."
The official said that the minor's body had decomposed which made identification hard, however, they traced her and found that she had been missing and a complaint was registered with Khadakpada police.

"After two to three hours, the girl was identified. The girl had been missing since January 13. Relatives of the girl filed a missing complaint at Khadakpada police station. Seeing that she was minor the Khadakpada police had registered a case of kidnapping. A search to trace her was started by the police," the official added.
He said that the police found two mobile phones beside the girl's dead body--one belonged to her and another to Shirsat, they found. During the search for him, the cops found out that he had ended his life on January 14 and that Kalyan Government Railway Police was investigating the matter.
S Patil, senior PI of Khadakpada police station confirmed that the dead body of a minor was found and is identifying the assassin who killed the girl. Meanwhile, Kalyan GRP PI, Archana Dusane confirming Shirsat's death said they have shared details of the same with Khadakpada police.
The official added, "During the preliminary investigation, it came to light that both of them were in a relationship. Police are investigating what exactly happened between them or if there is someone else behind it."
