The Mumbai Police has arrested lawyer Fayzan Khan (42) from Raipur, Chandigarh, for allegedly threatening to kill Shah Rukh Khan and demanding Rs 50 lakh last week, an official said on Tuesday.
The Mumbai police had issued summon to lawyer Fayzan Khan after receiving the threat call.
Khan had earlier alleged that his phone was stolen and the threat call came from someone else's phone.
On Monday night, the Mumbai Police's DCP Zone 9 team reached Raipur and took the accused lawyer, Fayzan Khan, into custody.

On Tuesday last week, the Mumbai Police sought a transit remand but Khan failed to appear before them.
The motive behind the threat to Shah Rukh Khan is under investigation, said sources.
Last week on Tuesday, the Bandra Police received a call from a person identifying himself as "Hindustani," who claimed to be standing outside Shah Rukh Khan's Mannat bunglow in Bandra, an official had earlier said
The caller threatened to kill the actor if he did not pay Rs 50 lakh.
However, lawyer Fayzan Khan claimed that his mobile phone was stolen on November 2.
Shah Rukh Khan's birthday, and he had already filed a complaint with the local police regarding the theft.
During the investigation, the police also found that Fayzan Khan had previously filed a complaint with the Mumbai police against Shah Rukh Khan over a dialogue in his 1994 movie Anjaam, which was allegedly linked to a deer-hunting incident.
