The arrested suspects have been identified as Vijaypal Bhikki Singh (22), Dilawar Hafiz Khan (24) and Yasin Shakir Khan (35), who work as catering contractors in the Lonavala area. Singh is originally from Rajasthan while the other two suspects are from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh.
Singh left the woman near Pune railway station on Friday morning and fled the spot.
The girl then returned home and narrated the incident to her mother, who registered a complaint with the Bhosari police.
According to the complaint, the mentally challenged woman had left her home in Dapodi area on the afternoon of April 30 after an argument with her brother.
She then met Vijaypal Singh, who promised to marry her and took her to a lodge in Karla village near Lonavala. Singh called Dilawar and Yasin to the lodge, where the trio raped her for three days.
