Physics teacher sexually harasses and rapes minor in Hyderabad, arrested

A physics lecturer from Hayatnagar area of Telangana's Hyderabad has been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing and raping an intermediate student

A physics lecturer from Hayatnagar area of Telangana's Hyderabad has been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing and raping an intermediate student. The 17-year-old victim, who is a student of Iqbalia College, mentioned in her complaint that her Physics teacher sexually harassed and raped her.

"We have received a complaint from 17-year-old intermediate student of Iqbalia college, stating, for past three months, her physics lecturer was sexually harassing her in the pretext of marks," confirmed Narender Goud, Circle Inspector, Hayatnagar.

A case has been registered under section 376, 366 and 5 of POCSO Act and the accused has been taken into custody. Further investigation is underway.
