According to the police, the incident occurred on Tuesday around 12.30 pm. Speaking with mid-day PSI Abhijeet Tailor of Virar police station said, "We checked all CCTV cameras but we didn't find anything, so were sure that it was someone from the society who had committed the crime. While checking the duct area windows, we found bloodstains on the second floor grille."
"When we checked the house, we found some bloodstains on the commode and we finally confirmed that the infant was delivered at this flat," PSI Tailor explained.
"Later, we took the girl into custody and discovered that she had a boyfriend. We brought him, too, to the police station. During interrogation, the girl finally revealed the truth. She said she had hidden her pregnancy from her parents by wearing loose clothes. We are interrogating her boyfriend," PSI Tailor said.
