Two security guards have been booked for stealing and selling off 3,300 kg steel worth Rs 82.5 lakh from the firm where they were posted. One of the security guards, who is the main accused, had left a letter in the locker, mentioning the names of those involved in the crime along with contact numbers. They also stated that they committed the crime to teach a lesson to their employer - Shraddha Security Agency.
1. Four men arrive at Unifab Engineering Project Pvt Ltd office on September 13 asking if the company was looking to sell steel. After store in-charge Sagar Pandhare says no, the men inquire about a manager named Arjun who allegedly told them about it. To this, Pandhare responds saying there's a guard named Arjun Borah, but he is on leave.

2. Prakash Bairagi, production manager of the firm, calls Shraddha Security Agency officials, including owner Sandeep Choube and area manager Brijesh Dube and Rajneesh, informing them that Arjun had not reported to work since August 1. He also informs that another security guard, Mohammed Vakil, has also stopped reporting since August 5.
3. Bairagi and security agency staffers open Arjun and Vakil's lockers and find a letter. It listed details of three scrap purchasers. "Arjun wrote that the theft was conducted to teach a lesson to security agency officials who do not pay the guards for double-time despite charging the company," said a cop from Shivaji Nagar police station. He added that Arjun told the four men to come to the firm so the theft comes to light.
4. Unifab Engineering Project officials find that 3,300 kg steel worth R82.5 lakh missing and lodge a police complaint. Cops, based on the information mentioned in Arjun's letter, recover the entire material from one bhangarwala. Police arrested six people including Vakil, while Arjun and another accused are absconding.
