Production controller of Marathi TV serial held for harassing actress

The Aarey police arrested a 40-year-old production controller on Wednesday for allegedly molesting and threatening a 32-year-old actress. The woman performs as body double in Marathi TV serials.

The actress said that on Novemner 30, the production controller of the serial Sahkutumb Sahparivaar asked her if she would be interested in acting in a project he was working on in Pune. The actress had agreed until the accused, Swapnil Lokhande, asked her for sexual favours in return.

The actress said after she turned down Lokhande, he began abusing and threatening her. The actress finally approached the police. "We have arrested Lokhande," said an officer from the Aarey-Sub police station.
