The NCB recovered 110 grams of Mephedrone, Rs 77.92 lakh cash, and jewellery worth Rs 29.4 lakh in Bandra.
Acting on tip-offs, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Monday carried out raids at the house of two women drug peddlers in Bandra (West) and recovered 110 grams of Mephedrone, Rs 77.92 lakh cash, and jewellery worth Rs 29.4 lakh.
The duo, identified as Rubina Shaikh alias Rubi and Nilofer Shaikh alias Nilu, fled as soon as the NCB team led by zonal director Sameer Wankhede arrived at their house.
The NCB has learned that both women suppliers have been running a nexus along with 25 other peddlers in Bandra (West) and other slums areas in the city, targeting minors. Rubina and Nilofer, who were externed from the area by the Mumbai Police for a year, recently returned and both have at least three cases each of drug peddling registered against them.
"Both have been supplying drugs to minors and creating nuisance in the area. There were multiple anonymous complaints against them on our emails," Wankhede said.
