A loader of a milk van, in Mumbai, is alleged to have killed the driver by attacking him with an iron rod typically used to lift milk crates. The driver sustained serious injuries when the rod entered his head and sadly succumbed to them during treatment at Jogeshwari Trauma Hospital this morning.
The Malad police have taken the accused into custody, identifying him as Dinesh Yadav (39). This crime occurred in the Vasrihill area of Malad West.
The deceased, identified as Vikram Yadav (23), was employed as a driver for the milk van, which belonged to his brother-in-law. Vikram would regularly operate the vehicle to transport milk and make deliveries to various milk depots. However, on this particular day, his brother-in-law couldn't attend to the task and instead dispatched Vikram to unload the milk from the van.
The accused, Dinesh, was a cousin of the deceased's brother-in-law. While the two were in the process of unloading the milk van, an argument erupted over a certain issue. In a fit of anger, the accused, who was in the van, struck the deceased with the iron rod. The impact caused the rod to penetrate the driver's head.
Upon learning of the incident, the brother-in-law and other relatives rushed to transport Vikram to the government hospital in Jogeshwari. Sadly, despite the medical attention, he did not survive.
An official from the Malad police station stated, "We have registered the case and arrested Dinesh Yadav on charges of murder."
