Seven people, including three women, were arrested in connection with a murder case in Kurla East area of Mumbai, the ANI reported on Tuesday.
According to the police, the man identified as Sajid Ali Shabbir Qureshi was allegedly killed over a dispute between two families residing in Kurla area of the city, the police, according to the ANI.
According to the Chunabhatti police, on Saturday night, Sajid and his family was attacked by a group, comprising of over a dozen people. Sajid's brother also sustained grievous injuries while trying to save Sajid, as per the ANI.
The incident began with a minor scuffle which escalated into a physical fight leading to the death of the deceased, an official said.

Following the incident police have registered FIR against 12 people under relevant sections of the IPC and arrested seven people in the matter, the news agency reported.
Earlier, the victim and attackers were involved in fights over small issues for a long time and have registered cases against each other, the official said.
Meanwhile, in an another incident, a 38-year-old man allegedly killed his wife by slitting her throat, suspecting her of having an affair, in Maharashtra's Nagpur district, police said on Monday, reported the PTI.
The police have arrested Lalit Ramdas Dahat (38) for allegedly killing his wife Pranali at their house in Ambedkar Nagar area in Wadi police station limits on Sunday morning, an official told the PTI.
The victim had returned home after visiting her parents around 8.30 am, when an argument ensued between the couple. In a fit of rage, the accused attacked his wife with a sharp weapon and slit her throat, killing her on the spot, he said, as per the PTI.
Dahat then left the house and subsequently contacted a relative and a friend in the police force and informed them about the killing, he said.
The accused, who is employed as a security guard, had married the victim six years ago. He suspected her of having an affair and had secured call record details from her phone just before the murder, the official added.
