MHB Colony police have arrested a 24-year-old man on Wednesday for allegedly making a fake Instagram account and uploading his second wife's objectionable photos.
The accused, allegedly, wanted to blackmail her into not pressing bigamy charges on him.
The incident came into light when his 20-year-old wife received calls from her relatives and friends enquiring why she posted revealing pictures of her on Instagram.
She approached the police to file complaint and was shocked to find out that it was her husband.

Cops said that the accused who is the owner of a courier company met the girl at his office in 2020 when she applied for a job. The two then fell in love and got married on July 27, 2021 in Amritsar.
The couple then shifted to a house in Dombivli on July 30, 2021. After a few days, the accused began torturing her due to which she returned to her parent's house in Borivli. Later, she found out that the accused was already married and blocked his contact number.
On September 6, when she started receiving calls from her relatives and friends about her photos on Instagram, she denied creating any such account and approached the police to file a plaint.

Later, the accused called her mother and asked them not to block his number. He also threatened to upload more such photos or videos if they harass him by filing cases against him.
PSI Vijay Dhotre of the MHB police with the help of his team nabbed accused from Borivli west.
"We arrested the accused under section 354 (K), 504, 506 of the IPC and section 67 of the IT act," said a police officer from MHB Police station.
The accused was produced before the court today where he was remanded to police custody, he added.
