A man was forced to eat human faeces and garbage by two persons over personal rivalry in Jogeshwari East in Mumbai. The incident took place on July 21.
The victim (name withheld to protect identity) was assaulted and forced to eat human faeces and garbage at knifepoint near Aman Chowk, Eidgah Maidan, in Jogeshwari East.
The accused recorded the incident and the video went viral on social media on Friday night. A social activist Mohsin Shaikh tweeted the video and tagged Mumbai police, seeking strict action against the accused.
The Meghwadi police booked a case against two accused - Fahim Shaikh and Khalid Shaikh alias Khalid Bechan. Fahim Shaikh was arrested a day after the incident was reported to the police and Khalid Shaikh is at large.

According to sources, the accused and the victim are involved in drug supplying business in Jogeshwari East. Earlier, the victim and the accused worked together. Later, the victim joined another gang.
A couple of weeks before this incident, the victim, along with his associates, had assaulted Khalid Sheikh and also made a video of that incident. The video was later shared by some of their friends.
On July 21, Khalid kidnapped the victim and forced him to eat human faeces and garbage.
According to local sources, Khalid works for Abrar Khan, who was recently caught by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in possession of 183.4 grams mephedrone.
Social activist Mohsin Shaikh, who tweeted the video, said that whatever is being shown in the video is inhuman and strict action should be taken against the accused.
"We have registered a case under Sections 326 and 34 of the IPC and have arrested Fahim Shaikh. We are on the lookout for Khalid Shaikh and their associates," said an official from Meghwadi police station.
