A 40-year-old Kandivali-based preschool peon was arrested by Samta Nagar Police for allegedly sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl. The parents of the minor are demanding action against the school authorities for negligence as they brushed the incident under the carpet and informed neither the parents nor reported it to the cops.
The 4-year-old girl informed her parents about the incident on Friday evening saying that the 'Kala' (dusky) uncle from school had touched her private part in the school's washroom. The infuriated parents demanded the cancellation of the preschool's license pulling the shutter down permanently.
The police official said that the incident occurred on Friday morning during school hours. The peon had allegedly taken the girl into the washroom and sexually assaulted her. The girl shouted for help however the accused threatened to kill her.
Meanwhile, a teacher arrived there and took the girl out of the washroom, tidied the minor, put a star on her hand and sent her home. Meanwhile, the peon was locked inside the washroom.
