The officials further stated the operation was initiated after the UP STF received reliable information about UP's history-sheeter's presence in Lower Parel, Mumbai. Despite his continuous change of location, the team, led by Inspector Sachin Kumar and Unit-11 officers, tracked him down after a ten-hour manhunt that spanned areas such as Antop Hill, Dharavi, and finally, Shahu Nagar in Mahim East.
The arrest was made possible through technical analysis and the support of local informants. Following his capture, Sabbir Alam was taken to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali for a medical check-up. He is set to be produced before the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate at the 37th Court in Mumbai for a transit remand.
