The Mumbai police on Tuesday seized drugs worth Rs 85 lakh from Wadala area after receiving a tip off regarding a consignment being brought to the area.
According to the police, a team was formed and a trap was laid on Monday night. At around 11 pm, the cops spotted a man on a bike and they stopped him for checking which led to a recovery of around 16.186 kilos of charas.
"The total value of the seized charas is around Rs 85 lakh in the market," an official said.

Following the seizure the police registered a case under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) and arrested the accused identified as Zahid Tipu Sultan Khan, 28.
Further investigation is underway, the official added.
