A wedding hall turned into an active crime scene after two teens walked away with a bag containing jewellery, cash worth Rs 9 lakhs. While the theft occured on January 29, the accused have been able to dodge arrest so far.
The theft was captured on CCTV cameras prefixed at the site of the theft. The theft allegedly occured at the Matoshree Supremo Club in Jogeshwari (East).
A complaint on the theft was filed by the groom, Jasbir Marwah, who works as an ad promo producer. A report in the Times of India quotes Marwah as having stated, "I suspect the teens were helped by the staff present in the hall. How else could they walk out so easily?."

Marwah is also reported to have added that politically connected members of the club management were hampering the investigation by not allowing cops to freely investigate the staff members.
The TOI report states that the modus operandi of the duo involved splitting up for a brief while. While one of the teens wished the married couple on the sage, the other is reported to have joined the photographers. The CCTV footage then shows the teen on the dias getting off and quietly picking up a gift bag kept in one of the front row seats.
