One of the accused in robbery case
The Bangurnagar police have arrested two accused and are on the lookout for one of their accomplice who allegedly escaped with 10 iPhones worth about Rs 11 lakh from a delivery man in Malad last month.
According to the police sources, the arrested accused identified as Akshit Jain alias Amit Singh(36) and Kamal Kumar Krishnalal Sethi (41). One of their accomplice is still at large.
The incident occurred on December 28, near Orbit Premises, Mindspace, Malad West. The complaint Govindkumar Purohit (27), a mobile deliveryman came to deliver 10 iPhones 14 mobile phones to the accused Akshit Jain.
During the inquiry, it has been revealed that Jain ordered 10 phones X iPhone and one iPhone 14 Pro mobile by calling the dealer as possessing the owner of the Jai Ambe Traders mobile shop on December 22.

The complainant had come to Mindspace in Malad West to deliver the phones to Akshit Jain. He took custody of all mobile phones and later while pretending to transfer money online, he fled with his accomplices on a scooter.
The complaint was filed by the complainant on December 29 under various sections of IPC, said an officer.
Under the guidance of DCP Ajay Kumar Bansal Zone XI, and under the supervision of senior inspector Pramod Tawde API S.V Sarolkar and his team began the investigation and finally caught Jain on January 5, outside the Hotel Golden Residency in Mira Road and later Sethi too.
"The duo was produced before the court and were remanded into police custody," the officer added.
"During further interrogation of the accused, it has been revealed Jain habitual offender had pas similar kind of criminal record in Vashi, Santacruz, and Goregaon police stations and is also wanted in a similar kind of case in Versova police station," said the police officer.
The phone has not been recovered yet as the accused revealed they have given the phone to the wanted accused in the case.
