Mumbai crime: The Mulund police in Mumbai arrested a technician of a diagnostic center for allegedly molesting a 15-year-old girl, the police said on Friday.
According to the police, the incident occurred on Thursday morning when the girl had gone to get her OPG x-ray done at a diagnostic center in Mulund West. The technician asked the family members to sit outside the room and took the girl inside the x-ray room. When she was made to stand before the machine, the technician allegedly touched her inappropriately twice.
The police said, the girl immediately raised the alarm and informed her parents about the incident. The family rushed to the Mulund police station and complained about the same.
"Based on the complaint, an FIR was registered against the accused under IPC section 354A (sexual harassment) and relevant sections of the Prevention Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act," an official said.

The accused, identified as Suraj Shinde (25), was arrested by the police soon after the FIR was filed. He is currently in police custody, the police said.
