Rahmeen Charaniya
The Mumbai team of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested a person identified as Rahmeen Charaniya, a practising consulting psychologist, on Tuesday for possession of a 10 kg hashish cake. The accused works at a reputed hospital in south Mumbai.
Charaniya also runs a bakery in Mazgaon area from where the hashish brownie cake has been recovered. He used to supply such brownie cakes at private parties. Charaniya used to supply drugs from Mazgaon to Malad.
Another person identified as Ramzan Shaikh, who used to supply drugs to Charaniya, has been arrested by the NCB.
As per the preliminary report, the NCB team intercepted Shaikh at Crawford Market and seized 50 grams of hashish. Charaniya used to score weed and hashish from Shaikh and other local peddlers.

NCB zonal director Samir Wankhede told mid-day, "We have arrested the accused today (July 13) and will produce him in court tomorrow (July 14). The person who supplied drugs to Rahmeen Charaniya has also been arrested."
