A man killed his childhood friend with a sickle after he found out that his friend was having an affair with his wife.
The accused had found out about the illicit relationship six months ago but kept watch on them. Finally, on Tuesday, the man killed his friend and later turned himself in at the police station. Worli cops have registered a case of murder.
The incident occurred at BDD chawl number 5 near Doordarshan on Tuesday evening around 4.30 pm.
In February 2023, Girish Jadhav found out that his childhood friend Vinod Salunkhe is having an affair with his wife. Jadhav had kept watch on their whereabouts and confirmed both meet often when he is not at home. Since then he had a grudge against Vinod. But when Jadhav gave both the warning Vinod assured him he won't meet his wife again.

On Tuesday, Jadhav came to know that, Vinod has started meeting his wife again despite warnings. Around 4.30 pm he went to his home and attacked his friend with a sickle on his head and then on his neck and chest.
After finding that Vinod is dead, Jadhav walked to Worli police station and told cops that he has killed his friend.
"As he (accused) narrated the incident, cops were immediately sent to the spot and confirmed the incident. We have booked the accused under IPC section 302 (murder) and relevant sections of the Arms Act," said Ravindra Katkar, Senior Inspector of Worli Police Station.
The accused and deceased both were close friends and had family relations. He was produced to Holiday court which remanded Jadhav police custody.
