A 35-year-old man was arrested for allegedly killing his brother-in-law by slitting his throat in Borivli (West) on Sunday evening.
The accused, identified as Bharat Makwana, was angry as his brother-in-law Sandeep Rajput (25) was preventing his wife from going to his house for the past one and half years.
Makwana used to live with his wife in Nalasopara. However, due to some reasons, both got into a fight, following which his wife left for her brother's house in Borivli (West).
Makwana tried several times to bring his wife back, but Rajput was not ready to send his sister. On Friday, an enraged Makwana took Rajput to Eksar Garden to talk to him. The accused made Rajput sit in an auto, gave him cannabis to smoke, and fled after slitting his throat with a sharp knife, said a police officer.
