Mumbai Crime: Anti-Narcotics Cell seizes coke worth Rs 1 crore

The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Mumbai Police arrested a Tanzanian citizen, who was found with cocaine worth more than Rs 1 crore. In another case, two persons were arrested, and the police seized Mephedron worth Rs 3 lakh. The Azad Maidan Unit has arrested Tanzanian citizen Daizy Msukku, 42, from Agripada. They recovered 600 grams of cocaine from Msukku.

After receiving the information from sources, Azad Maidan ANC Police Inspector Rajendra Dahifphale, API Sachin Kadam and his team laid a trap at Agripada around midnight, and apprehended Msukku, when he arrived around 2.30 am. Msukku lives in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, and is into the business of selling clothes. Police are investigating whether he is involved in trafficking drugs to different states.

In another action, the Worli Unit of ANC also arrested two people with 30 gm of MD drugs. The arrested accused are Saidu Rehman Shaikh, 35, and Ahmed Shafi Shaikh, 37. DCP Balsing Rajput, in-charge of ANC Mumbai, said, "Further investigations are on."
