YouTuber Jitendra Agarwal alias Jeetu Jaan and his wife Komal Agarwal
A 26-year-old YouTuber was arrested by the Bhandup Police in an abetment to suicide case after his 23-year-old wife allegedly ended her life. The deceased has been identified as Komal Agarwal and her husband is YouTuber Jitendra Agarwal alias Jeetu Jaan.
The family of the deceased suspects that she was killed. They claimed that initially they were told that she consumed some liquid; however after her death it was revealed that she hanged herself.
"It was love marriage and within three months of marriage, she was being harassed, tortured and beaten up by her husband every day. On May 28, Jitendra called and informed that my sister has died after consuming some liquid. I reached Criticare hospital and saw several injuries on my sister's body. Later, I was told that she hanged herself," said Priya Tiwari, Komal's elder sister.
Priya also claimed that Jitendra's family is calling and pressurising them for settlement. "If she hanged herself and died then what treatment was given to her at the hospital for more than 24 hours?" Priya added.

On May 23, Komal left her house after a fight with her husband and stayed at her friend's house, following which, Jitendra filed a missing complaint with Bhandup police and got her home on May 26.
"Two weeks ago, Komal stayed at my house and told me about the harassment and torture by Jitendra's mother for not doing household work. Jitendra had also beaten her up at several occasions. She was not ready to go back to her house but Jitendra came with a police constable from Bhandup police station and took her back," Priya further said.
According to Bhandup police, Komal was unconscious and was taken to the hospital by Jitendra and his family in the afternoon on May 27 and she died in the morning on May 28. "The postmortem report by the government hospital also says that she died due to hanging based on which the abetment to suicide case has been registered after the woman's family filed a complaint. The accused was arrested on the same day and currently, he is in judicial custody," said senior police inspector Sham Shinde, Bhandup police station.
Komal met Jitendra through Instagram and they got married in March this year. According to police, the accused was arrested based on the calls made by Komal to her sister, complaining about the harassment and dowry demand by her husband and in-laws.
In the FIR registered at Mulund police station, Komal's family said they were against this marriage but due to their daughter's pressure they accepted it. "Within 10-12 days of marriage, my daughter called her elder sister and told her that her husband was fighting with her and also beat her up for not doing household work," Komal's mother said in the complaint.
Following a complaint by Komal's family, Jitendra was arrested and booked under Section 306 (abetment of suicide), 304(b) (dowry death), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of the Indian Penal Code.
The accused has a YouTube channel with lakhs of followers and some of his videos have millions of views.
