Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Vaze has moved an anticipatory bail application before the Thane sessions court on Friday in connection with the murder case of Mansukh Hiran.

In the bail application, Vaze said 17 years ago also, people tried to trap him, the same thing is being done to him again. The entire story is wrong and all this is being done due to political pressure and media trial.

"On March 4th and 5th, he was in South Bombay, and the deceased was in Thane and body was found in Mumbra," the bail application further read.

Vaze's interim bail plea was rejected by the court on Friday and the anticipatory bail plea will be heard on March 19.

The ATS has said that there is prima facie evidence and Hiran's wife in her statement has said that Vaze was in touch with Mansukh Hiran.

API Sachin Vaze's name came up in the death case of Mansukh Hiran. Earlier in the day, Vaze was transferred to the Citizen Facilitation Centre (CFC) unit of the city police, a top official said

Vaze was accused by Hiran's wife of involvement in her husband's suspicious death, was shunted out of the Mumbai crime branch on Wednesday.

The CFC is the unit that handles police clearance for passports, various licences and other public related services, another official said.

On February 25, a Scorpio SUV, which was found abandoned outside industrialist Mukesh Ambani's residence with explosives inside, was traced to Mansukh Hiran.

Hiran, was found dead in a creek in the Thane district last week.
