The Mumbai Cyber Cell, on Wednesday, arrested one person from Hyderabad for allegedly sending rape threats to Virat Kohli's 10-month-old daughter on Twitter. The accused is being brought to Mumbai from Hyderabad. The skipper of the Indian men's cricket team showed support to Mohammed Shami after trolls attacked him over his religion after India lost a T20 World Cup match against Pakistan.
As per latest reports, the accused, 23-year-old Ramnagesh Akubathini is an IIT graduate.
As per Mumbai Police's cyber cell, the Twitter account that he used is customised to appear like an account from Pakistan. It has a photo of Pakistan's cricket team as the cover image.
"Based on a complaint we registered FIR and arrested accused from Hyderabad. The accused had masked all his social media accounts to hide his identity but we managed to track him," said Rashmi Karandikar, DCP cyber cell.

According to Mumbai Cyber Cell, Deputy Director Deepak Viramane, cybercrime centre Delhi also provided technical support to nab the culprit. The accused is being brought to Mumbai and will be produced in court tomorrow for his custody.
The accused has been booked under section 354(A), 506, 500 of IPC and section 67(B), 67 of IT act.
On a related note, in a tweet actor Farhan Akhtar has said that while he is glad that the Hyderabad offender has been nabbed, he expects same switfness from the police in case of female journalists.
