In a road rage incident in Thane district of Maharashtra, two persons allegedly stabbed a 24-year-old truck driver to death after their two-wheeler rammed into the heavy vehicle in Thane district, the police said on Tuesday, according to the PTI.
The police have arrested Anjala Liyat Khan (23) and Mohammad Anans Asfaque Sheikh (21) in connection with the incident that took place in Kalyan taluka in the early hours of Monday, an official told the PTI.
The victim Bholakumar Mahanto and his friend were proceeding in a truck transporting gravel to Shahad when the vehicle developed a flat tyre and was halted on the bridge around 4.30 am, senior inspector Sunil Pawar of Bazarpeth police station told the PTI.
A motorcycle rammed into the stationary truck and got damaged. The riders started arguing with the victim to pay for the damages and allegedly stabbed him to death, he said.

The accused fled the scene and were apprehended by the police in the western suburb of Bandra in neighbouring Mumbai on Monday night, the official said.
Meanwhile, in an another road rage incident in July this year, the road rage incident had led to the death of a 21-year-old man allegedly by three accused. The incident had took place on July 9 evening at around 4-5 pm near the Nalasopara's bridge.
The victim was identified as Rohit Yadav (21), a resident of Nalasopara.
"The victim was crossing the east-west bridge. Another group at the same time took over the victim's two-wheeler, during which the mirrors of the two-wheelers collided with each other and both parties started fighting with each other. The fight was so violent that two accused allegedly beat the victim which led to severe injuries. He died during treatment in the hospital," a police officer had earlier said.
Yadav was admitted to Vijay Nagar Hospital but after undergoing an initial medical treatment, the doctors declared him dead due to injuries.
"Two accused have beaten up the victim while one of the accused drove the two-wheeler and helped the other accused to run away," the police officer had said.
The police had registered an FIR against unknown people under section 302 (Punishment for Murder) of the IPC.
