The Navi Mumbai police in Maharashtra have registered an offence against a senior citizen who allegedly flashed his 12-year-old neighbour, an official said on Monday, according to the PTI.

The 65-year-old man allegedly flashed and made obscene gestures at the girl who lived opposite his house over the last two days, an official said, reported the PTI.

The girl's parents approached the police with a complaint, after which a case under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been registered against the accused, he said.

Meanwhile, a 20-year-old man was arrested last week for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in suburban Mumbai. The suspect had been in a relationship with the woman, police said on Thursday, according to the PTI.

The girl had moved in with the man, who lives in suburban Bandra, ten days ago, said an official, reported the PTI.

Her parents approached police on Wednesday alleging that he had sexually assaulted their daughter, following which the man was arrested under the Protection of Children From Sexual Offences Act.

In an another incident on Saturday, a doctor pursuing post-graduation at the Government Medical College and Hospital in Nagpur was arrested for allegedly shooting video of a woman student when she was in the bathroom, according to the PTI.

The woman raised alarm after she noticed that the accused was filming her when she was taking a bath in her hostel room on Thursday night, said an official of Ajni police station had earlier told the PTI.

The accused allegedly tried to flee from the spot but another student nabbed him. Subsequently, the woman student lodged a police complaint, as per the PTI.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijaykant Sagar said the accused was arrested under Indian Penal Code section 354 (voyeurism) and produced in a court on Saturday. He was granted bail by the court.

Further probe was on, the official had told the PTI.
