Criminal with Rs 6 lakh reward arrested from girlfriend's house

The Delhi Police have arrested a criminal carrying a cash reward of Rs 6 lakh on his head.

Hashim alias Baba was arrested as he came out of his girlfriend's house in Subhash Park in Delhi, the police said on Wednesday.

"A trap was laid around the house in Suabash Park in Shahadra. At about 5.45 am, Hashim Baba was seen coming out of the house of his girlfriend and moving towards his motorcycle parked in front of the house. When he was about to start the motorcycle, sensing police presence, he opened fire upon the advancing police team. After a brief exchange of fire, Hashim was apprehended," said DCP Special Cell, PS Kushwah.

In retaliatory fire, Hashim sustained bullet injury on his left leg.

One 9 mm pistol with live cartridges, a bike and empty cartridges were recovered from the spot.
