Days after the Navi Mumbai Police arrested two alleged chain snatchers and claimed to detect as many as nine cases, chain snatchers have again hit the streets in the city.
The snatchers targeted a morning walker at CBD Belapur in Navi Mumbai. A video of the incident has also surfaced that shows that while a woman was on a walk, one of the two snatchers walked towards her and the snatched her chain while his aide waited at a distance with a bike. After the incident, the police have launched a man hunt for the suspects, police sources said.

According to the police sources, the incident took place in morning at around 8.25 am in front of CBD Belapur court when a woman was on her morning walk. Two snatchers on a bike arrived at the spot and first did recce of the spot, they then snatched her chain and fled towards away.

Soon after the incident the woman raised an alarm and some pedestrians even tried to chase the snatchers but they sped away on their bike. This is the third incident of chain snatching this month in Navi Mumbai, sources added.
Further investigations are underway.
