Members of the ATS at the spot where Hiran’s body was found

The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) led by DCP Shivdeep Lande, on Tuesday, spent 30 to 35 minutes at Reti Bunder, the spot where Hiran Mansukh's body was found. However, DCP Lande and other team members refused to talk about the visit. ATS had also visited the spot on March 7 when the case had been transferred to them.

Mansukh Hiran

Hiran was found dead on March 5. He was in the news after a Scorpio laden with explosives was abandoned outside Mukesh Ambani's residence. It was Hiran's car and he had told the police it had been stolen. The ATS has registered a case of murder against unknown people on March 7 in the case.

On Tuesday, former MP Kirit Somaiyya visited the family of Mansukh Hiran and he claimed they were scared and tense since the incident. He has demanded security for them.

While talking to media persons outside the building, he said, "The family is under tremendous pressure and not in a condition to talk to anyone. They are scared and sceptical about getting justice in this matter". He also demanded security for the family considering they have levelled allegations against API Sachin Vaze.

Two cops had been deployed at the gates of Vikas Palms at Charai, Thane, where Hiran stayed, on Tuesday morning. They had instructed the security guards of the building to not allow any person unchecked inside. However, the two cops disappeared by the evening.

‘State sponsored murder'
BJP MP Manoj Kotak, Mumbai North-East has tweeted, calling Hiran's death a state sponsored murder. He wrote, "Sufficient evidence given by the LOP @Dev_Fadnavis ji against Vaze. But they way MVA is defending API Sachin Vaze clearly indicates that Mansukh Hiran Murder was Sponsored by the state under the "able and experienced guidance" of the top and "best" leadership of MVA Government."
