The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) on Monday demanded that a special investigation team (SIT) be formed to probe the death of TV actor Tunisha Sharma. The association, with their demand, also wrote a letter to Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde.
Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, President, AICWA in the letter to CM Shinde said, the association requests your office to take requisite measures and to order for a formation of a SIT to investigate and unfold the unseen truth behind the suicide of actress Tunisha Sharma.
It further said, the deceased has committed suicide on the set of Ali Baba- Dastan E Kabul which was located at Mother Nature Studio, Bhanjalal State, Naigaon, in the afternoon on 24.12.2022. It was utterly shocking to know that the actress has killed herself on the shooting set, the same has never happened in the history of Indian Film Industry (Television). That, the time and place where the suicide was committed was crowded with people as there were number of shootings going on during the same period of time. Despite, the same someone committing suicide is unusual and the same needs to be investigated further.

left numerous questions in the minds of the crew and a fear of threat to everyone's life. The number of suicides in the television industry is increasing day
by day, and the same is being overlooked by reasoning the same to be an outcome of a heartbreak. However, the same reasoning cannot be associated with every incident. The entire industry in is danger and the main culprits rooted in the said industry, abetting such suicides, must be unveiled to assure safety to everyone associated with the said Industry.
Meanwhile, on Sunday the police arrested Tunisha Sharma's co-actor Sheezan Khan on the charge of abetting her suicide. Sharma, 21, was found hanging on the set of the serial she was working in on Saturday.
