The woman’s accomplice would seek entry into the targeted societies on the pretext of meeting his ‘wife’
Police have arrested two men and a woman in connection to four cases of robbery. The gang would enter plush societies in Baner and Balewadi area to commit house break-ins.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Yerawada resident Aakash Hemraj Pardeshi (21), Gaikwadnagar resident Gusha Ram Kamble (22), and Chikhali resident Bibhishan alias Rahul Rambhau Bansad (19).
The police have recovered a car, and 140 grams of gold from them. A team of cops from Chatuhshrungi police station, comprising PI Arun Sawant, PSI RD Chauhan, and constables Vijay More, Pravin Patil, Sanjay Shinde, Balasaheb Gaikwad, Sharad Patil, and Dattatreya Phulsundar nabbed the suspects.
Modus operandi
"Pretending to be working as a maid in some flats, Usha Kamble used to enter big societies in Baner and Balewadi area. After some time, Pardeshi used to reach there and enter the society premises, saying that he wanted to meet Kamble, identifying her as his wife. Four cases of theft committed by the suspects have been detected so far. Pardeshi and Bansad are criminals with police records," said PI Arun Sawant.
