Security forces on Wednesday shot dead two militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district in a gun battle that also left a teenager dead.
Director General of Police S.P. Vaid said the fighting took place at Saigund Shopian and that two militants "have been neutralised and weapons recovered (from them).
"Unfortunately, one boy was also killed in the cross-fire and two ladies sustained injuries," he added. The security forces continued to search for more militants in the area.
