Security guard apprehended for molesting 6-year-old girl

The accused, identified as Kabir Sakat, hails from Satara district and was working in the housing society - where the victim lived with her family - since the past two years.

"In the afternoon, the girl was playing at the ground floor after sometime she requested the accused to take her to her house on the third floor. The guard took her in the lift and took her to the 10th floor instead, where he molested her and tried to rape her.

But when the girl started crying, he left her on the third floor and went down," said PSI and Investigating Officer Rahul Karbhari.

The traumatised girl, after reaching home, narrated the entire incident to her uncle who approached the cops and filed a complaint against the accused.

"We booked him under Section 376 and 511 of the IPC. He was produced before the court that remanded him to police custody till December 7," Karbhari said.u00a0
