After the 24-year-old victim refused her bosses’ sexual advances, he threatened to cut her pay and even fire her
A job experience in an ad firm turned out to be a mortifying ordeal for a 24-year-old MBA student who joined the company in January this year. She was hit on by the director of the firm and was threatened to give into his demands.
The Khadak police have booked the accused Kiran Argade, director of Quick Ad, an advertisement company on charges of molesting his female employee at his office located on Bajirao Road.
A case under Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and Section 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused. A police team went to Argade's office to arrest him on Sunday, but he was not present.
Police Sub-Inspector Priyanka Khot, said, "The complainant comes from a good family background and is pursuing an MBA course. She had joined the advertisement company to gain experience while her course was in progress. The complainant had started working with the company from January this year."
"Argade used to call the complainant in his cabin and try to catch her hand. When she refused his sexual advances, Argade threatened her. He told her that she would be fired from her job or her salary will be withheld if she doesn't agree to do what he wants," PSI Khot said.
