A special Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act convicted and sentenced a man for winking and flashing a 12-year-old girl.
The incident took place in 2015, when the girl was sitting outside her room in the building's common corridor. She told the court that the man first winked at her. She then raised her book to shield herself from the man's gaze and when she looked again to see where he was, he flashed her as per reports by Times of India.
The girl then ran inside her house and complained to her mother, but by the time the girl's mother could take any action, the man had already fled. The duo then started looking for him in the premises. When the girl spotted him, she pointed him out to her mother who then filed a police complaint and had him arrested.
